Frank Lakatos

Frank Lakatos is a Hungarian-American violinist, violist, and composer. Lakatos earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Rowan University, a Master of Music degree from Southern Illinois University, and is a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Memphis in violin performance and a minor in theory. He specializes in arranging works, including non-Classical music for solo violin and his research interest is focused on J.S. Bach’s polyphonic writing for the instrument. Lakatos resides in Memphis, Tennessee with his wife Alyona and daughter Misha.
